ABSTRAK

Penyakit Diabetes Melitus merupakan gangguan metabolik yang ditandai
peningkatan kadar glukosa darah (Hiperglikemia) akibat kerusakan pada sekresi
insulin dan kerja insulin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui
hubungan Kelelahan dengan Kualitas Hidup Penderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe II di
Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Batu Aji Kota Batam Tahun 2024. Penelitian ini
merupakan penelitian kuantitatif non eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan
observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional terhadap 88 orang
penderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe II. Waktu pelaksanaannya dimulai pada tanggal 26
September sampai dengan 15 Oktober 2024. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan
teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner FSS dan SF36.
Analisa data yang digunakan adalah uji chi square. Hasil penelitian didapatkan
kelelahan tinggi sebanyak 46 orang (52,3%), kualitas hidup buruk dengan jumlah 54
orang (51,4%). Hasil uji chi square variabel kelelahan dengan kualitas hidup
diperoleh nilai p 0,003 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan
kelelahan dengan kualitas hidup penderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe II. Kesimpulan
pada penelitian ini terdapat hubungan kelelahan dengan kualitas hidup penderita
Diabetes Melitus Tipe II. Diharapkan penderita Diabetes Melitus dapat melakukan
manajemen penyakit dan untuk mengontrol kadar gula darah, dan mengurangi
aktivitas berat jika kelelahan dirasakan semakin mengganggu untuk menghindari
tingginya tingkat kelelahan supaya tercapai kualitas hidup yang optimal.
