ABSTRAK

Lansia merupakan tahap lanjut dari suatu proses kehidupan yang ditandai dengan
penurunan kemampuan tubuh untuk beradaptasi dengan stress lingkungan dan
pada umumnya mengalami penurunan fungsi-fungsi biologis, psikologis, sosial
dan ekonomi. Masalah depresi pada lansia yang di dapatkan di Kota Batam pada
tahun 2023 sebesar 0,02 % (52 jiwa). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui
hubungan tingkat kemandirian sehari-hari dengan depresi pada lansia di Wilayah
Kerja UPT Puskesmas Sambau Kota Batam tahun 2024. Penelitian ini merupakan
penelitian kuantitatif, menggunakan rancangan analitik dengan pendekatan cross
sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah lansia di Wilayah Kerja UPT
Puskesmas Sambau. Jumlah sampel yang dibutuhkan adalah 85 yang diambil
menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan
kuesioner dan analisa data menggunakan uji kruskial wallis. Sebagian besar
lansia memiliki tingkat kemandirian ringan yaitu 39 orang (45,9%), dan lansia
yang mengalami depresi ringan sebanyak 35 orang (41,2%). Terdapat hubungan
yang signifikan antara tingkat kemandirian sehari-hari dengan depresi pada lansia
di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sambau Kota Batam, dengan hasil analisa uji
kruskal-wallis diketahui bahwa nilai p-value sebesar 0,000.
