ABSTRAK

Dermatofitosis merupakan infeksi kulit akibat jamur dermatofita yang menyerang
jaringan berkeratin seperti kulit, rambut, dan kuku. Trichophyton rubrum adalah
spesies yang paling sering menyebabkan dermatofitosis kronis dan memiliki
potensi resistensi terhadap antijamur sintetis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui aktivitas antijamur ekstrak daun pecut kuda (Stachytarpheta
jamaicensis) terhadap Trichophyton rubrum. Penelitian dilakukan secara
eksperimental di laboratorium dengan metode difusi cakram. Ekstraksi dilakukan
menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%, etil asetat, dan n-heksan
Konsentrasi uji ekstrak yaitu 3529 μg/disk, 5000 μg/disk, 6666 μg/disk, dan 8560
μg/disk dengan kontrol positif ketokonazol 30 μg/disk dan kontrol negatif DMSO
10%. Hasil uji ekstrak etanol dan n-heksan daun pecut kuda tidak menunjukkan
adanya aktivitas antijamur terhadap Trichophyton rubrum, dan ekstrak etil asetat
daun pecut kuda menunjukkan aktivitas antijamur dengan diameter zona hambat
sebesar 13 mm (6666 μg/disk), dan 14 mm (8560 μg/disk). Kesimpulan penelitian
ini adalah ekstrak etil asetat daun pecut kuda memiliki aktivitas antijamur terhadap
Trichophyton rubrum. Sedangkan ekstrak etanol dan n-heksan daun pecut kuda
tidak memiliki aktivitas antijamur terhadap Trichophyton rubrum.
