ABSTRAK

Salah satu bahan alam yang sering digunakan sebagai tanaman obat adalah daun
mangkokan (Polyscias scutellaria). Daun mangkokan memiliki potensi sebagai
antijamur. Trichophyton rubrum merupakan jamur yang menginfeksi pada kulit
manusia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui adanya aktivitas antijamur
fraksi daun mangkokan (Polyscias scutellaria) terhadap jamur Trichophyton

rubrum. Fraksinasi dilakukan dengan metode cair-cair menggunakan pelarut n-
heksan, etil asetat dan etanol-air. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode difusi kertas

cakram. Konsentrasi ekstrak fraksi yang digunakan yaitu 600 μg/disk. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan dari ketiga fraksi daun mangkokan (Polyscias scutellaria),
fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi etanol-air memiliki aktivitas antijamur, sedangkan pada
fraksi n-heksan tidak memiliki aktivitas antijamur. Berdasarkan penelitian yang
telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa fraksi daun mangkokan (Polyscias
scutellaria) memiliki aktivitas antijamur terhadap jamur Trichophyton rubrum.
Dari ketiga fraksi yang diuji, fraksi etanol-air memiliki aktivitas antijamur paling
tinggi dengan rata-rata zona hambat 11,3 mm terhadap jamur Trichophyton rubrum,
pada fraksi etil asetat memiliki zona hambat dengan rata-rata 4,5 mm sedangkan
pada fraksi n-heksan tidak memiliki zona hambat. Ketiga fraksi telah dibandingkan
dengan ketokonazol 30 μg/disk sebagai kontrol positif dan DMSO 10% sebagai
kontrol negatif. Dari perbandingan pengukuran fraksi terhadap kontrol positif,
maka fraksi etanol-air termasuk kategori kuat dan fraksi etil asetat termasuk
kategori lemah.
