ABSTRAK

Facial wash adalah produk perawatan kulit untuk membersihkan wajah dari
kotoran, minyak, dan sisa makeup. Salah satu bahan alami yang berpotensi
digunakan ialah resin jernang (dragon blood) dari buah jernang, yang
mengandung senyawa aktif dracohordin dengan aktivitas farmakologis,
termasuk sebagai antibakteri alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat
formulasi Stick Facial Wash berbahan dasar turunan minyak sawit yaitu metil
ester sulfonat (MES), asam stearat, cetyl alkohol, dan gliserin. Skrining
formulasi stick facial wash dilakukan untuk memperoleh formula stabil dengan
karakteristik sesuai sediaan. Formula terpilih kemudian ditambahkan ekstrak
getah jernang (Daemonorops draco) sebagai antibakteri alami dengan variasi
konsentrasi 2%, 4%, dan 8% b/b. Evaluasi fisikokimia formulasi Stick Facial
Wash yang mengandung ekstrak getah jernang telah dievaluasi meliputi analisis
organoleptik, pH, daya berbusa, kekerasan, dan aktivitas antibakteri terhadap
Staphylococcus aureus. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa semua formulasi
yang diuji memenuhi persyaratan fisikokimia dan juga memiliki pH busa yang
sesuai untuk kulit wajah yaitu antara 5–7. Semua formulasi yang diuji
menunjukkan daya berbusa yang melimpah dan halus. Hasil uji cairan
antibakteri menunjukkan aktivitas penghambatan terhadap pertumbuhan koloni
Staphylococcus aureus, serta pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak terhadap luas area
penghambatan koloni. Oleh karena itu, Stick Facial Wash berbasis minyak
sawit dengan bahan antibakteri alami getah jernang berpotensi dikembangkan
sebagai Stick Facial Wash alami yang efektif.
